| Hello!
My name is Irene Becker; Co-Founder of Candy for Soldiers Co. My brother Vincent Kustush and myself started an organization called, Candy for Soldiers Co. Candy for Soldiers Co., is an organization whose mission is to put a one-pound box of chocolate in the hands of each and every U.S. soldier and veteran. To make things even better, a portion of proceeds will go to benifit the USO as well as Disabled Veteran orginizations. We wanted to do something. We all rented the movie Pay it Forward and all got chills that we had to think of something, anything to help those who help us keep our freedom everyday. We have 13 veterans in our family. We didn't even know it until we counted - count yours, I bet every single family has 2 or 3 or more relatives serving somewhere. We are just the average family. Nothing has ever been given or gotten easily, hey that's life. We gave away 2000+ lbs of candy at the Naval Base on Dec.21st. We had soldiers with tears in their eyes, singing us christmas songs, chanting USA! USA! It was very emotional to say the least. This is such a great thing I feel. Candy for Soldiers Co. would like to announce the Valentines Day campaign, in which they hope to have 150,000 pounds of candy sponsored by the public and corporations for Soldiers stationed domestically and abroad,sending them not only a smile, but a piece of home in every box.
