Pay it Forward I know a way to make the world more Utopian. When I say utopia, people may think of a place like Atlantis where everything is perfect. I have started to ‘Pay It Forward” or P.I.F. as some people call it. Other people are strongly encouraged to do it too. Now you may probably know of P.I.F., but if you don’t it is a chain that starts with one person helping three people without requesting pay, and then those three people each help another three people without requesting pay and so on. Eventually, it would increase to a huge amount of people. The P.I.F. concept isn’t perfect, it will get to points where people don’t P.I.F., but remember that it is only ruined when everyone stops P.I.F. The longer it goes on, the more unlikely that that will happen though. For my P.I.F. I tended my neighbor’s garden, cleaned my grandmother’s house, and set up my teacher’s vocabulary words. P.I.F. isn’t easy, but keep striving forward and you will get it done. First, I helped my teacher with her vocab words. I had to write the words on paper and then add them to the chain of words already started. When I got it done I asked my teacher to continue the chain. I hope she will because I hope that the chain can go on for a while without any bumps until a bump doesn’t make much of a difference with so many people still carrying on. Second, I helped my neighbors with their garden. I started by asking them if they needed help with their gardening and they said yes but when they talked about pay I explained P.I.F. by saying “P.I.F. starts off with one person, myself, that one person does something good for 3 people without requesting pay, then those 3 people each P.I.F. to 3 people.” First they had me watering the plants and planting seeds. The feel of the dirt reminded me of a thick version of sand that you find at the beach. then I started pulling weeds for them and after a while I pulled out the vegetables. After I was done pulling out the vegetables, I started thinking that the only people who would P.I.F. would be the ones who dream of a utopian world because who would try to make a utopian world who didn’t believe in making the world more utopian. I decided to do this last one because I was running out of time and I knew I could get this one done quickly. I helped my grandmother clean her house by dusting, emptying out the litter box and making beds. I realized that my grandmother had a lot of stuff to clean but I did eventually get it done. I told her about the concept of P.I.F. and she responded by saying. “Sure I’ll P.I.F.” but I am not sure she will because she is getting older and has her health to worry about. I felt that I was really getting something done because my grandmother was probably having trouble cleaning her house by herself. By Paying it Forward I managed to do a little for my community and the rest will be up to the P.I.F. subjects. I hope people understand P.I.F., and that other people are going to do it to. Remember the more people who start P.I.F. means the more help people get helped.
