Individuals Paying It Forward

I am submitting this about my boss. She began her non profit in 2003 from her home to get poor families computers. She worked at the University and received a free used computer because she couldnt afford a new one. So she decided to get more computers and get them to students who couldnt afford new ones.

Since she began, she took a second job to pay the bills and keep the organization going. She takes no salary and often no credit for her work. She has created education and training programs in IT so she could get families off welfare and into the workplace in IT fields.

She asks all participants to "pay it forward" by training others or maximizing the skills to help others. Our organization was currently written up on the front page of our major newspaper, and since then, we have rceived numerous volunteers wanting to help, just because.

I constantly hear her telling others to pass the word along about the free computer program so other poor families can have access to technology.
