I
am a man of self-revelations only. I take only my experiences as meaningful
indications toward my life and my direction. If something doesn't
make sense to me I do not contribute to it despite any majority of
favorability. This shape of thinking has led me upon a very independent
and full life. I have read several books about severals different
topics, and picked apart their theories in my head for flaws in its
logic. Paying it forward is one of the most sound theories I have
ever read, and to this day can't understand why this logic isn't a
simple deduction to everyone. I am struggling in this world at age
32 still discouraged between the choice to do the right things now
or raise the funds to do more right things later on. While this idea,
book, movie has moved many people I find myself uneasy that it's practice
hasn't more quickly spread throughout societies. I do not account
for any of the times I give people a helping hand, but try to help
people every time they seem to need. I don't ever think "well
I helped someone already today, it's someone else's turn". The
awesome, heart-pounding emotion I get from the appreciation of someone
I've assisted is better than any promotion, goal, success, discovery,
epiphany, or victory I have ever achieved. I don't understand why
more people do not seek that emotion when it is one of the most easily
achieved emotions to our kind. While Theater, Television, Billboards,
and Radio continue to encourage the competition in our society, love
for stardom, and a necessity for success, power, and wealth, I will
continue to encourage people to live life for each other, expect nothing
in return, and enjoy a life knowing you didn't only "help yourself".
