WASHINGTON
COUNTY READS 2003
03/27/03
Free movie screenings and book discussion groups continue in the
Washington County READS program.
Discussion groups of "Pay It Forward," the book chosen
for the county's inaugural community reading program, include a
bilingual one April 3 in Cornelius, and one for women April 4 in
Forest Grove.
Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt star in the 2000 film based on Catherine
Ryan Hyde's novel. A 12-year-old boy decides the world would be
a nicer place if everybody did three good deeds and expected nothing
in return except for recipients to perform three good deeds, and
so on.
Book discussion groups continue to meet through mid-April, when
the author will arrive for various events. Copies of the book are
available in Washington County libraries and area bookstores.
